Hispanic Ministry
The LCMS Hispanic Ministry program in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area now has four
churches holding worship services with an average overall attendance of more than
200 per week. Pastor Cristiano Artigas (602)273-1161 is the Director of
this ministry.
Santo Tomas Church
Services are held at 9 A.M. Sunday mornings in the church located south of
Baseline on 7th Avenue at 8041 S. 7th Avenue. A Thrift Shop is also

Gracia Lutheran Church
This congregation meets at the Schaller Community Center, 2418 E. Portland Street,
Phoenix in worship on Sundays at 11 AM and 6 PM. Telephone: 602-273-1161.
Rey de Reyes Lutheran Church
King of Kings Lutheran Church is located at 3314 W. Rose Lane in Phoenix. Worship
services are held Sundays at 2 P.M. Telephone: 602-276-5078.
Sola Fe Lutheran Church
Faith Lutheran Church at the Mt. Calvary campus meets for worship Saturdays at
6 PM. The church is located at 5105 N. 7th Avenue in Phoenix.

Schaller Community Center
The Schaller Community Center is the focus of many of the Hispanic Ministry's activities.
The Center is located at 2418 E. Portland in Phoenix. Some of the many activities are
Brown Bag lunches and Bible lessons, food distribution to needy families, clothing
distribution.
Friends' House at Drake Park - 'Where Cultures Join Hands'
A cross-cultural ministry, Friends' House is located in Long Beach, CA. The founder
and director is Jana Shields. Jana and her co-workers have transformed an historic
apartment building located across the street from Drake Park in inner city Long Beach into
a community gathering center. Participating local churches offer Bible studies and activities
for the neighborhood children. These include after-school Bible clubs and sports activities.
In addition to her work at Friends' House, Jana is very involved in Prayer Teams, travelling
around the United States and also the Ukraine. Jana is always looking for ways to expand her
