"Ask the webmaster to post a link to Computer Virus Information." The "PHISHING for Stupidity" folks are STILL at it with 'better' ideas! PHISHING is the practice of sending out fake emails, or SPAM, written to appear as if they have been sent by banks or other reputable organisations, with the intent of luring the recipient into revealing sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, account IDs, ATM PINs or credit card details. (From the The Honeynet Project & Research Alliance, Click here for more technical details)Don't even open them! Delete them!! AND....Do stop by the 'Operational Issues SIG'(Main Menu #17) for AzTeC Freenet Updates! Webmaster's Note of Interest- June 01, 2008: As you know, Windows Vista (and XP) have not installed telnet. On SIG # 17, MSG #361 is a link to make a registry entry to enable telnet: How to: Install Telnet client and server in Windows Vista http://www.askstudent.com/tips/howto-install-telnet-client-and -server-in-windows-vista Information at this link: If you have installed Windows Vista as your Operating System, you will quickly find that some of the tools previously available through the command prompt in Windows XP and Windows 2000 are missing. A classic example of this is the lack of the Telnet client installed in Windows Vista. So, where is the Telnet client in Windows Vista and how do I install it? Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off >Telnet Client Program files option in control panel Turn windows features on or off option
